Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, founder of Lyca Productions.[4] The movie serves as a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, and features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.[5] The film will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi.[6][7][8][9] With an estimated budget of ₹450 crore (US$70 million), it is the most expensive Indian filmmade to date.[10] A dubbed version in Telugu will release alongside the original Tamil and Hindi versions.[11] The film's worldwide premiere is scheduled for 25 January 2018, and the film is expected to be released in 15 languag

he amount of promotion and publicity the makers of 2.0 is doing seems unnecessary when you look at the posters from the film, let alone the ensemble cast of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The film is a sequel of Rajinikanth – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Robot, and this time it seems Rajini’s Robot has a deadly battle on its hands. Well with Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist, one would expect so. The makers of the film released a new poster featuring the Khiladi, and he looks like an absolute monster in it.
I’ve never done a role like this in my entire career. And, I’ve never seen anyone doing a character like this,” Akshay tells PTI. “It was a whole new experience to play the role of an anti-hero”. He also added saying that the film’s director Shankar is not just a filmmaker but also a  scientist with a grand vision. South megastar Rajinikanth, “It will appeal to both the global and Indian audiences. Director Shankar has a nice social message for everyone in the film.”
This is the first Indian movie that is directly shot in 3D. Rajinikanth will be seen reprising the role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. Apparently, it is one of the most expensive films made until date in the country. The film is expected to hit the silver screens on January 25, 2018.
